QA Automation Engineer

What you are going to work on:

Join the QA Automation team supporting the company’s flagship product, the RUBY Portfolio Management platform, developed in house using a .NET back end and Angular front end. The work includes the development and support of automated regression, functional, and other QA testing; understanding underlying financial data and troubleshooting test results; close communication with software developers and analysts on gathering requirements and analyzing test results; working as a team member to help deliver production high-quality projects.

Your responsibilities:

• Support and improve the existing automated testing platform.
• Develop, deploy, and schedule new regression tests based on new business requirements
• Analyzing existing code to understand business requirements
• Communicate with business and development teams to analyze and troubleshoot test results

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent field
• 6+ years of experience in QA automation
• Understanding concepts of different types of testing: unit, functional, regression, integration, continues, acceptance, performance, etc. testing
• Familiarity with the Java programming language
• Familiarity with major Linux and Windows OS systems and commands
• Understanding concepts of versioning and source control (GIT)
• Familiarity with software build management and continuous integration (TeamCity)
• Code debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with Enterprise Scheduling Software (Tidal)
• Great knowledge of SQL
• Quick learning and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of Python a plus
• Previous work with financial software is a plus
