We’re hiring a Senior Python/Java Developer (Full-time).
What you’ll be working on:
Join our professional team of software engineers supporting the operations of a thriving hedge fund business. Your role will involve working on front-office projects, including enhancing the portfolio management system and developing key pricing, analytics, and risk modules. You’ll also contribute to modernizing legacy code by implementing scalable, high-performance solutions using modern technologies.
Your responsibilities:
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Python and Java
- Enhance and maintain the client’s portfolio management, pricing, and risk systems
- Develop scalable and cross-platform back-end solutions
- Optimize existing code for better performance and resolve bottlenecks
- Debug and maintain both new and legacy systems
- Participate in regular code reviews, offering and receiving constructive feedback
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure high-quality deliverables
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development with strong expertise in Python and Java
- Solid foundation in OOP and design patterns
- Strong knowledge of modern Python (3.x)
- Experience with modern Java (including Spring/Spring Boot) and Python (3.x)
- Strong database skills with relational systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL); familiarity with NoSQL is a plus
- Experience with testing libraries (e.g., pytest, JUnit, TestNG)
- Proficiency with version control systems like Git
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or related field
- Experience with Kafka, JMS, or other messaging systems
- Familiarity with microservices and back-end architectural principles
- Previous experience in fintech a big plus
