Front-end Software Engineer

What are you going to work on:

Work with a professional team of software engineers supporting the operations of a successful hedge fund business. Work includes enhancing and expanding the client’s home-grown portfolio management system presented in the form of a web application.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop scalable cross-platform front-end solutions, reusable components, and modules
• Implement responsive user interfaces
• Write clean and sustainable code
• Maintain existing code and improve performance
• Identify bugs and bottlenecks
• Conduct regular code reviews, sharing insightful feedback and guidance
• Collaborate with back-end developers and UI / UX designers

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in developing web-based software systems
• 3+ years of relevant software development experience in JavaScript / TypeScript programming language
• Experience with the latest versions of Angular framework and its core principles
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and SASS
• Ability to convert high-fidelity UI designs into pixel-perfect and responsive implementations
• Experience with version control (Git)
• Experience with REST APIs and the ability to work with back-end developers to define an optimal interface
• Written and verbal English

Preferred qualifications:

• University degree in computer sciences or math
• Knowledge of front-end architectural principles
• Knowledge of back-end technologies
• Knowledge of databases
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud provider
• Working within a team environment, preferably using agile / Scrum methodologies
